Methodology

Our methodology details the development of the technique chart and explains how each technique was determined according to the anatomical part. The goal of the technique chart is to ensure that every technique used results in an exposure with a DI value within the optimal range of +/-0.5. Each anatomical part includes an explanation of the process used to determine its technique, the resources that guided us through that process, any connections to other anatomical parts, and a breakdown of any mathematical equations. All these projections were performed on the phantom known as “Amber”, positioned on the table according to the projection requirements. Since all the projections were conducted on the table, any projections using a grid will have a 10:1 grid ratio.
