Effective Date: August 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to repair and related services provided by TechCare Repair (“TechCare Repair,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By approving a repair quote, paying a deposit or other amount, submitting a device for repair, or otherwise authorizing TechCare Repair to perform services after being provided these Terms, the customer (“Customer”) acknowledges and agrees to these Terms.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the device, including its model, condition, prior damage or repairs, and the issue for which service is requested.
Any quote provided before physical inspection is based on the information available at that time. A quote may be revised if inspection reveals additional damage, previously undisclosed conditions, incorrect device information, incompatible components, or different repair requirements.
If the quoted price must change, TechCare Repair will notify the Customer and obtain authorization before performing any additional chargeable work.
If the Customer declines a revised quote, TechCare Repair may discontinue the repair and return the device in its then-current condition, subject to payment of any previously authorized charges and these Terms.
TechCare Repair maintains a limited inventory of commonly requested replacement parts. We generally keep select screens for base-model iPhone 13 through iPhone 17 devices and batteries for base-model iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 devices. Inventory is limited, may change at any time, and is not guaranteed to be available for a particular repair.
If the required replacement part is in stock, TechCare Repair may schedule the repair without requiring a parts deposit.
If the required part is not in stock, TechCare Repair may require a deposit before ordering the part. Parts will generally not be ordered until the Customer approves the applicable repair quote and any required deposit has been received.
The deposit will be credited toward the final repair balance.
Once a replacement part has been ordered specifically for the Customer's device, the applicable deposit may be non-refundable to the extent reasonably necessary to cover the cost of the ordered part, shipping, restocking charges, or other nonrecoverable costs incurred by TechCare Repair.
If TechCare Repair is unable to obtain the required part or perform the authorized repair for reasons not attributable to the Customer, any unused portion of the deposit applicable to parts or services not provided will be refunded.
Prices vary depending on the device model, part type and quality, availability, and device condition.
Advertised “starting at” prices represent the minimum price for qualifying repairs and do not guarantee that every device or repair will qualify for that price.
Unless otherwise stated in the Customer's quote, the quoted repair price includes the replacement part(s) and labor required to perform the specifically authorized repair.
Any remaining balance is due upon completion of the repair and before the device is released to the Customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
TechCare Repair currently accepts payment by Venmo, Zelle, or cash. Available payment methods may change.
TechCare Repair currently provides appointment-based repair service in Belmont, California. Repairs and device drop-offs are by appointment unless TechCare Repair agrees otherwise.
Any repair or completion time provided by TechCare Repair is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Repair timing may be affected by part availability, shipping delays, supplier issues, device condition, diagnostic findings, appointment availability, or circumstances outside TechCare Repair's reasonable control.
Most routine screen and battery repairs are normally completed the same day the device is dropped off, provided the required part is available and no unexpected problems are discovered. Same-day completion is not guaranteed.
TechCare Repair will make reasonable efforts to notify the Customer if additional time is required.
Electronic devices may contain pre-existing, latent, intermittent, or hidden defects that cannot reasonably be identified before a device is opened, tested, or repaired.
These conditions may include, but are not limited to:
Prior liquid or moisture exposure or corrosion
Previous repair or modification damage
Damaged or weakened connectors, cables, housings, frames, or internal components
Swollen, degraded, or damaged batteries
Logic-board or other internal component defects
Manufacturer defects
Damage caused by prior drops, impacts, pressure, bending, heat, or age
Touchscreen or display malfunction
Problems unrelated to the repair requested by the Customer
Opening, disassembling, testing, or repairing a previously damaged device may reveal an existing problem or cause a previously weakened or damaged component to fail.
To the extent permitted by law, TechCare Repair is not responsible for the failure of a component or condition that was pre-existing, concealed, previously damaged, defective, or unrelated to the authorized repair, provided TechCare Repair exercised reasonable care in performing the authorized services.
If an additional problem is discovered, TechCare Repair will pause additional chargeable work and obtain Customer authorization before proceeding.
The Customer acknowledges that a damaged, defective, malfunctioning, or previously repaired touchscreen or display may register unintended touches or inputs, sometimes referred to as “ghost touch” or “phantom touch.”
Unintended touchscreen inputs can occur before, during, or after a repair and may cause the device to enter incorrect passcodes, open applications, change settings, initiate commands, or perform other unintended actions.
On devices protected by a passcode or other security feature, repeated unintended passcode entries may cause the device to become temporarily unavailable, security locked, or disabled and, depending on the device's settings and manufacturer security features, may require additional recovery procedures.
The Customer is therefore strongly encouraged to back up all important data before submitting the device for repair.
TechCare Repair will use reasonable care when handling and testing the device. TechCare Repair is not responsible for a device becoming unavailable, disabled, or security locked as a result of a pre-existing or independently occurring touchscreen or display malfunction that causes unintended inputs, except to the extent directly caused by TechCare Repair's failure to exercise reasonable care.
If TechCare Repair discovers abnormal touchscreen behavior during testing, TechCare Repair may discontinue testing or further work until the Customer is contacted.
7. Water Resistance
Opening or repairing a device may affect its original seals and water- or moisture-resistance. TechCare Repair does not guarantee that a repaired device will retain its original manufacturer water-resistance rating or protection against liquid intrusion. Customers should avoid exposing repaired devices to water or other liquids.
The Customer is responsible for backing up all important data before submitting the device for repair.
Repair, diagnostics, hardware failure, touchscreen malfunction, software conditions, security features, device resets, or other circumstances may result in loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechCare Repair is not responsible for lost, corrupted, deleted, or inaccessible data except to the extent directly caused by TechCare Repair's failure to exercise reasonable care.
Customers should remove or secure sensitive information whenever practicable before submitting the device.
The Customer authorizes TechCare Repair to power on, charge, inspect, disassemble, reassemble, and test the device and relevant functions as reasonably necessary to diagnose the reported problem, perform the authorized repair, and verify the repair.
If a passcode is required for testing, the Customer may elect to provide it. Any passcode or device access provided will be used only as reasonably necessary to perform or verify the authorized services.
Unless specifically represented otherwise in writing, replacement parts may be new, aftermarket, refurbished, reclaimed, or otherwise non-original-manufacturer components depending on availability and the repair option approved by the Customer.
Aftermarket or third-party components may differ from original Apple components in appearance, brightness, color reproduction, touch sensitivity, performance, durability, calibration, compatibility, or other characteristics.
Certain Apple features, functionality, notifications, or diagnostic information may also be affected by replacement components. Depending on the device and repair, this may include True Tone, battery-health information, Parts and Service History information, component-verification messages, or other manufacturer-specific functionality or notifications.
Where TechCare Repair is aware of a material limitation associated with the selected repair option, TechCare Repair will make reasonable efforts to disclose it before completing the repair.
TechCare Repair is an independent repair provider and is not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Apple Inc.
TechCare Repair provides a 7-calendar-day limited warranty on labor and workmanship and a 25-calendar-day limited warranty on replacement parts, beginning on the date the repair is completed.
For 7 calendar days after completion of the repair, TechCare Repair warrants the workmanship directly related to the original repair performed by TechCare Repair.
If TechCare Repair determines after inspection that a covered workmanship defect exists, TechCare Repair will correct the covered workmanship issue at no additional labor charge, subject to rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
For 25 calendar days after completion of the repair, TechCare Repair warrants eligible replacement parts supplied and installed by TechCare Repair against defects in the replacement part.
If TechCare Repair determines after inspection that a covered replacement-part defect exists, TechCare Repair will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective part at no additional charge, subject to rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
The warranty does not cover:
Accidental or subsequent physical damage
Screens cracked or physically damaged after repair
Drops, impacts, pressure, bending, crushing, or other physical damage
Water, moisture, or liquid exposure
Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling
Normal wear and tear
Subsequent repair, opening, modification, tampering, or attempted repair by the Customer or a third party
Damage or failure involving components not repaired or replaced by TechCare Repair
Pre-existing conditions
Software, data, connectivity, operating-system, or other issues unrelated to the covered repair
Any other condition unrelated to a defect in the covered replacement part or TechCare Repair's workmanship
Labor and workmanship warranty claims must be reported within 7 calendar days after completion of the original repair. Replacement-part warranty claims must be reported within 25 calendar days after completion of the original repair. The device must be made available to TechCare Repair for inspection.
The occurrence of a problem during an applicable warranty period does not, by itself, establish that the problem is covered by the warranty.
A repair or replacement performed under warranty does not restart or extend the original applicable warranty period except where required by applicable law.
If TechCare Repair agrees to install a part supplied by the Customer, TechCare Repair does not warrant the quality, authenticity, compatibility, durability, or performance of that part.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, TechCare Repair's parts warranty does not apply to Customer-supplied parts.
TechCare Repair may decline to install a Customer-supplied part that appears damaged, defective, incompatible, unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable.
By approving a repair quote, submitting the device for authorized service, or making a required payment or deposit after receiving these Terms, the Customer authorizes TechCare Repair to perform the specifically approved repair and the inspection, disassembly, diagnostics, testing, and reassembly reasonably necessary to complete and verify that repair.
The Customer represents that they own the device or have authorization from the device owner to request and authorize the repair.
TechCare Repair does not guarantee that every damaged or malfunctioning device can be successfully repaired.
If TechCare Repair determines that an authorized repair cannot reasonably be completed, the Customer will be informed.
The device may be returned unrepaired or in the condition reasonably resulting from inspection, diagnosis, disassembly, reassembly, or authorized repair attempts, subject to TechCare Repair's obligation to exercise reasonable care.
Additional chargeable repairs will not be performed without Customer authorization.
Customers will be notified when their device is ready for pickup.
The Customer is responsible for retrieving the device and paying all outstanding authorized charges.
Devices that remain unclaimed for an extended period will be handled only as permitted by applicable California law. TechCare Repair will not treat a device as abandoned, sell it, dispose of it, or otherwise claim ownership except in accordance with applicable law and any legally required notices.
TechCare Repair will perform authorized services using reasonable care and skill.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TechCare Repair will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from the repair service, including lost profits, loss of business opportunity, or loss of use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited or eliminates any rights or remedies available to the Customer under applicable law.
The Customer's approved repair quote, these Terms, and any written disclosures or modifications specifically applicable to the repair constitute the agreement governing the authorized repair.
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
By submitting a device for repair and approving the applicable repair quote, or by paying a deposit or other amount after being provided these Terms, the Customer acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review these Terms and agrees to be bound by them.
