App: Flight Tracker Plane Finder 24
Thank you for using Flight Tracker Plane Finder 24 (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use our flight-tracking services.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the technologies and third-party services used by the App.
Flight Tracker Plane Finder 24 requests access to your device location using Apple’s When In Use location permission.
Location is used to:
Show your current position on the home map.
Center the map around your current location.
Help identify nearby airports.
Help display nearby live flights.
The App does not request or use Background Location.
Your location is used only while the App is being used for the location-based features described above. We do not use your location information for advertising.
We do not sell your location information.
If you deny location permission, certain location-dependent features may not function, including displaying your current position and location-based nearby flight information.
The App displays publicly available and third-party flight information, including information such as:
Flight numbers
Airline information
Departure and arrival airports
Aircraft position
Altitude
Speed
Flight status
Scheduled and estimated times
Terminal information
Gate information
Airport coordinates
This information is obtained through third-party aviation data services and is used to provide the App's flight-tracking functionality.
Information available to the App is used to:
Provide live flight-tracking functionality.
Display aircraft on maps.
Display flight routes and flight details.
Show nearby airports and flights.
Display the user's current position when location permission is granted.
Provide the 3D flight visualization.
Improve application stability and performance.
Diagnose crashes and technical problems.
Deliver application-related notifications where applicable.
We do not use your location for targeted advertising.
The App uses Aviation Edge to obtain live flight positions and timetable information.
Aviation Edge may provide information including aircraft latitude/longitude, altitude, speed, route, flight status, schedules, terminals, gates, and estimated or scheduled times.
The App retrieves this information to provide its core flight-tracking functionality.
The Aviation Edge API key used by the App is retrieved from our Firebase Remote Config configuration and is not hardcoded directly into the application.
For more information about Aviation Edge's privacy practices, please refer to its privacy documentation.
The App uses Apple MapKit for its standard 2D map experience.
Apple's map and location services may process information according to Apple's own privacy policies and terms.
The App uses Apple Core Location to obtain your device location when you grant the When In Use permission.
We do not use Apple's location services for advertising purposes.
The App includes an optional 3D flight visualization.
The 3D experience uses:
CesiumJS as the 3D globe engine.
Esri World Imagery / ArcGIS World Imagery for satellite imagery.
A bundled aircraft 3D model.
OpenStreetMap data for certain terminal and gate coordinates.
When you open a 3D flight view, the App loads a locally bundled WebView page that renders the 3D globe.
CesiumJS may be loaded from Cesium's CDN, and satellite imagery may be retrieved from Esri's services.
The 3D view displays appropriate attribution and credits for third-party imagery, software, and models.
To provide a more accurate aircraft landing or arrival visualization, the App may attempt to determine the geographic coordinates of an arrival terminal or gate.
Terminal and gate names may be obtained from Aviation Edge timetable information.
The geographic coordinates of available terminals and gates may be resolved using OpenStreetMap data through the Overpass API.
The App may query OpenStreetMap Overpass services for airport features such as:
aeroway=gate
aeroway=terminal
If a matching terminal or gate cannot be found, the App uses the airport's standard geographic coordinates instead.
The App uses Firebase services provided by Google.
Depending on the features enabled in the App, Firebase services include:
Firebase Remote Config is used to retrieve application configuration, including the Aviation Edge API key required for flight-data requests.
Firebase Analytics may be used to understand application usage and improve the App.
Firebase Crashlytics may collect technical information related to crashes and application errors to help us diagnose and fix problems.
Firebase Cloud Messaging may be used to support application notifications where applicable.
Firebase App Check may be used to help protect application backend resources and verify requests originating from legitimate versions of the App.
Firebase services may process certain technical information according to Google's applicable policies.
Flight data retrieved from the aviation service may be temporarily cached on your device during an App session.
This session cache is used to avoid repeatedly downloading the same full flight list while you navigate between maps, airports, and flight details.
When the App is force-quit and subsequently launched again, the App retrieves fresh flight information and replaces the previous session data.
Airport names and coordinates may also be provided from a bundled airport database stored locally within the App.
We do not require you to create an account to use the App.
Flight Tracker Plane Finder 24 does not require a user account or social-login account.
We do not ask you to provide information such as:
