Catholic in name & Action
Texas Catholic Boys Camp inspires faith, excellence, service, and community. With a foundation rooted in our Catholic faith, campers will engage more deeply with their faith in a fun filled summer camp with opportunities to grow and excel across many programs areas. We strive as a camp staff to live this deepest expression of our faith so that campers can find comfort in us and a role model for what it means to be a person of God in the world today
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses.” Acts 1:8!
At Tecaboca we believe in the potential of young people and in the power of the Holy Spirit to guide them through life. We accept the campers for who they are and where they are coming from with their faith experience. We seek to build the campers as mature Christian disciples of Christ in that they may articulate better their faith journey and who God is calling them to be. “Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit.” Luke 23:46!
As a Marianist Catholic camp, we seek to remain faithful and obedient to the teachings andtraditions of the Roman Catholic Church. We believe that through our faithfulness and devotion to the church teachings, that we can evangelize and help campers to realize what it means to be part of the mystical body of Christ.
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will
find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
This quote overlooks the inside wall of the pavilion where campers and counselors alike may see it. As a camp we believe in the power of Christ who lifts all burdens for us. No matter where our campers coming from in their lives, they can find rest here and know that they are in a community of support for one another.
