My name is Leshabane Tebatso, and I'm a student at Tshwane University of Technology, currently enrolling in the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) program. I have learnt a lot about how technology may improve student engagement, advance digital literacy in the classroom, and change teaching and learning throughout this course. My development in incorporating ICT into instruction and learning is reflected in this portfolio. It highlights my capacity to use technology to foster diversity, creativity, and teamwork in the classroom as well as my dedication to developing into a creative and smart 21st-century teacher. I developed an understanding of computer components and system functions. This knowledge enables me to troubleshoot basic issues and manage technological resources confidently in the classroom.
I learned to create well-structured educational documents such as lesson plans, assessments, and reports. The use of formatting tools, tables, and referencing features improved my efficiency and professionalism.
This unit enhanced my data management and analytical skills. I can now use formulas and charts to record learner marks, track progress, and support data-driven decision-making.
I gained the ability to design engaging, multimedia-rich presentations that make lessons more interactive and visually appealing, supporting learner participation and understanding.
I learned to design creative educational materials like posters, newsletters, and brochures, which improve communication and enhance the visual appeal of learning content.
