On the far-out planet of RS-19, Space Ghost has established Space Ghost Academy to recruit new space fighters to the cause of justice across the galaxy! He’s skipping the boring parts and going straight to the final exam, an all out battle between two teams of students. Whatever team wins will become soaked up into Space Ghost’s crew.
After entering, guests will be suited up into Laser Tag suits that are reminiscent of the suits that Jan and Jace, Space Ghost’s sidekicks wear. One team has the majority or their armor be orange for the other team it’s blue. In the next room guests watch a preshow featuring Jan, Jace, and their pet monkey Blip who explain the backstory and the rules of the game.
Guests are then taken to the main laser tag maze where they are handed out their laser guns that have the same powers as Space Ghost’s power bands fit into a pistol. Both ends of the maze (where the teams start out) are the rocky surfaces of an unknown planet and in the center of the maze a scientific library with plenty of objects to hide behind.
Principle Space Ghost
Galactic Combat plays in a Team Vs. Team setup. Each team is made up of 5 players where each team’s goal is to win the most points by shooting the targets on the back of the members of the opposing team. Each game lasts for just a bit longer than five minutes.
There are two special events in the game:
Zorak’s Secret Tunnels: Zorak hacks his way into Space Ghost’s system around 3 minutes into the game and opens the doors into a series of old mining tunnels. While some are useful giving guests an alternate way to get somewhere, some are just dead ends making them vulnerable from an attack behind!
Brak’s Bonus Points: Brak hacks his way into the system around 30 seconds before the match ends where he changes how points work for the losing team. Now when they shoot someone from the opposing team, they will gain 2 points instead of one. The team that was honored with Brak's legendary help will have it for the rest of the game.
When the game is over, they’ll be led into a room where they’ll remove their armor and the winner will be declared. An animatronic Blip the Monkey will hold up one of two flags high in the air depending on which team won the match (each flag is color coded to one of the two teams).
A post show video plays where Jan and Jace congratulate guests for their job well done, when Space Ghost appears out of nowhere.
Space Ghost: “Boo”
Jace: “Hey Space Ghost! We didn’t expect to see you come say hello to your graduating class”
Space Ghost: “Really I didn’t scare you.. What graduating class? What school? The school of hard knocks?”
Jan: “No silly, it’s the school that you set up three weeks ago on RS-19 and all these fine people are going to join you on..”
Space Ghost: “I must have gone Berserk! I don’t need any new recruits on my Phantom Cruiser, I just need my muscles, technology, and incredibly good looks”
Jace: “Good joke Space Ghost!”
Space Ghost; “I’m serious, all of you on that old mining colony hit the road Jack! Space Ghost Out!”
And guests comply with Space Ghost’s wishes until the next time approaches for GALACTIC COMBAT!
