Located just past the arcade’s lobby, is an aircraft hanger that serves as the entrance to this ride. In the short queue, guests climb up a staircase up to one of two boarding platforms where they will first see their pedal powered “flying machines”.
Each plane is themed to a WW1 era Barnstormer with a fin on the back and two sets of wings on the front. The planes seat two people who control the speed of it using pedals attached to the plane’s floor. There’s also an option for an auto-movement mode for those who may not have the energy to go all around the track using the pedals. The auto movement mode also turns on when there’s 10 seconds of pedal inactivity. Each plane also has speakers installed within, so that Dick Dastardly can Cowardly Complain about everything you see on the tour of the arcade.

As previously mentioned there are two boarding platforms, the tracks are side by side for the entire length of the ride so there will be no difference between either side with two tracks existing solely for capacity reasons. The tracks are around 20 feet above ground level of most of the arcade giving guests a great view of the entire arcade on their tour. Nets are also laid below the track to prevent someone from throwing something down at other guests.
The ride starts by first entering a dark ride scene where Dick Dastardly and Muttley are being instructed by a very angry general (with an all new design for the ride, since he was never seen in the original show) to catch the Yankee Doodle Pigeon. Standing by their planes where Muttley is spinning the propeller of his, Dick Dastardly salutes the General saying for once timidly, “Aye Aye, sir.”
The planes exit the room into the Jetson's Future Funfair where Dick Dastardly remarks, “Oooh an arcade, even though I’m the penny-pinching type if I had time I’d love to whack some rival crooks, so I’ll be left as the best villain around!”
After the Now the planes go above the Flintstones Bowling alley. “Drats, I hate cavemen. Despite the Nethenderals being easy to fool and to manipulate, I can never win against them! But then again I rarely win against anything…”
Next, there’s a hole just above the Jellystone Diner, which the planes fly into, cue "Stop that Pigeon". The next dark ride scenes follow Dick Dastardly and Muttley in their individual planes attempting to catch that pigeon using gigantic butterfly nets. The sky behind them is moving rapidly giving an illusion of speed. Dick Dastardly commands, “Honorary Vulture Squadron members be ready for our… what’s that sound?"
Guests enter a dark room where they hear the sound of something being shot through a plane. As the planes leave the room, the sound of a plane descending rapidly is heard.
Now guests are above the Wacky Racers track. Dick Dastardly laments, “I must be seeing my life flash before my eyes, all those races that I cheated at... And then coincidentally happened to lose at.
The planes enter above the entrance for the Secret Squirrel Escape Room as a crash is heard.
Muttley is seen safely floating down to the ground in a parachute snickering. Turn around the corner and Dick Dastardly is seen in the destroyed wreckage of his now broken plane. Moaning his failure, he states, “Drats! Being shot down by bird seed, how humiliating, birdseed is my third least favorite thing in the world!” Yankee Doodle is seen in the next room playing a handheld, on a well-deserved rest. The planes exit this dark ride segment above the entrance to Space Ghost Laser Tag where after a short stint of track is the unload station.
