Team Space - Stanza VI

Family Guy is an American animated sitcom that centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter and Lois; their children, Meg, Chris, and Stewie; and their anthropomorphic pet dog, Brian. The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, and exhibits much of its surreal and dark humor in the form of metafictional cutaway gags that often lampoon American culture.

As guests make their way into Quahog, they are immersed in the colorful cartoon world of Family Guy, spoofed as an entrance to 'Main Street U.S.A.' Big Band piano music is playing in the background, to create the tranquil atmosphere that off-sets the depravity and humor of the series. Guests can hear Vern and Johnny playing the piano as the Duet, inspired by the Main Street U.S.A. barbershop quartet.

Perusing through the Town Square of Quahog, guests are surrounding by the sights and sounds from the show. The sub-land of Quahog itself, while not featuring any attractions, is more about introducing the guests to the atmosphere and cartoon animation style that will permeate the rest of Animation Dominion. It's also heavy on spontenous guest interaction with the characters from the show. You never know the characters you'll run into throughout your time in Quahog.

Guests can walk into the Quahog Mini-Mart for a casual shopping experience, to pick up some Pepperidge Farm milk or Milano cookies. You may also have an interact with Carl behind the counter, just don't talk to him about movies as you may be there for your entire stay in the park.

In the Streets of America style, there are several 'store' fronts that are simply for display to provide a sense of the environment of Quahog. For example, the Quahog National Bank, to assimilate guests further to callback to the ambiance of a 'Main Street.' In addition, there are several gags and references to the show itself, such as a 'coming soon' sign for the Outback Steakhouse Extreme, or an advertisement for a salad from "Every Pizza Place"

Family Guy is popular for its cut-away scenes and pop culture references, but one steadfast location throughout the duration of the series is the New England based watering hole of The Drunken Clam. Peter can be seen throughout the series drinking a Pawtucket Patriot Ale with his friends at this bar/restaurant, which will naturally be a part of Quahog at Animation Dominion. With interior booth seating themed in the style of the show, as well as 'outdoor' seating in the park setting next to the bar/restaurant, this is sure to be a fan favorite location throughout the guests' experience here at the park.
