The table and graph in the spreadsheet above show the changes of a single palm motion in terms of x, y and z-axis. Our interest here is to measure how fast a stroke patient to bend his/her hand. Thus, in the table and graph only the velocity of gyroscope of MPU6050 sensor is selectively recorded. The high velocity of hand bending imply a patient being able to control his/her hand like a healthy person. The units of angular velocity are measured in degrees per second (°/s) or revolutions per second (RPS).
The electric pulse or voltages of muscle movement was rectified in the Muscle Sensor module. The output of the signal is then utilized to control the relay and motor which provide artificial movement.
The artificial movement here means by provide external hand movement aids to help a stroke patient to overcome the difficulty of carry out daily routine without helps from third party. The system simply utilize the output signal from Muscle Sensor module and turn on the motors that control hand bending action. The motors and relay module that used in this system were tuned in a right timing for the best grasping purpose.
