Community Launch - Partners from across the state gathered to launch our Learning Community for the ADSY Full Year Redesign Planning and Execution Program.

Imagine the Possibilities - Partners gathered to develop their vision, gain clarity on key components and requirements, and learn strategies to gain support from teachers and families.

In-Person in Houston November 9-10 - During the two-day meeting in Houston, we traveled to Ermel Elementary in Aldine ISD where they shared an overview of how they restructured their days and year to enhance learning for students. On day two we reflected on our school visit, delved further into the planning process, and participated in team activities to support moving the programs forward. 

Creating an Environment with Students & Teachers at the Center - During this meeting, we shared lessons learned from LEAs in the previous cycle (Taft ISD and Benavides ISD). We also discussed how student and teacher experiences might change in a redesigned day and year, including changes to the daily schedule, instruction and enrichment.

Strategic Use of ADSY Days & Continuous Improvement - We discussed how each participating LEA implemented their redesigned days and annual calendars, and if any changes were made from year to year. We had a peer exchange regarding Glows & Grows and discussed the key drivers of continuous improvement.

Celebrating FYR Success - We took the opportunity during our second meeting to share artifacts and accomplishments as well as what sustainability looks like for each district .
