This website was created to support the Additional Days School Year Planning and Execution Program Full Year Redesign (ADSY PEP FYR), and was last updated in summer 2023. The tools and content may be helpful to LEAs interested in redesigning the school day and year for the benefit of students, teachers and families. ABOUT ADSY PEP FYR
The ADSY PEP Full Year Redesign Learning Community supported districts and campuses in a robust planning process to innovate the school day and year in service of improved outcomes and learning environments for children and their teachers. Over the course of one year, district/campus planning teams were guided through a thoughtful and practical sequence of supports to help them effectively plan for a redesigned day and year. The Learning Community provided a forum for district/campus leaders to learn together and develop key elements of their redesign plans with guidance and consultation from experts and peers. Learning community offerings included:
Peer learning opportunities and workshops on key topics, such as stakeholder engagement, calendar and schedule, high quality instructional materials, staffing, and budget;
Technical assistance from Design and Implementation Partners (D&I Partners) on strategic planning, design, and implementation strategies;
Feedback and coaching from TEA, The Learning Agenda, peers, and experts;
Access to research-based tools and planning resources.
