Session 1 focused on building confidence in your instructional practice and also identifying and remembering your WHY.
As educators, it is important to have confidence in our instructional practices because it will help improve student engagement and achievement. Your reasons for becoming an education should keep you grounded in your position. Nothing that attempts to rock the boat will succeed if you are confident and grounded in your WHY.
Steps to increase your confidence:
First, identify the reason for your lack of confidence.
Next, put in place strategies and techniques to help you overcome possible barriers that are causing you to lack confidence.

Positive affirmations
Positive self talk
Post positive quotes @ home or in class.
Practice lessons
Be prepared
Focus on your strengths
Steer away from negative thoughts and people!
Remember your why!
