Students' Feedback
Students' Feedback
This chart represents student feedback on my teaching performance in SPLH 566, collected via a 13-item Likert-scale survey (1 = Strongly Disagree, 5 = Strongly Agree). The results are overwhelmingly positive across all instructional domains.
Instructional Strengths
Students consistently rated the following aspects at the highest level (5 = Strongly Agree):
My use of gestures, body language, and eye contact to enhance communication.
Clear pacing and speech rate, making the lectures accessible.
Feedback and explanations that were timely and easy to understand.
Sufficient interaction and support, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Effective communication of course expectations and requirements.
Relevant instructional materials, and engaging voice throughout the recorded content.
High levels of comfort in class discussions and perceived achievement of course learning objectives.
These ratings indicate that students felt supported, informed, and engaged throughout the course. My emphasis on clarity, responsiveness, and interaction was well received.
Areas for Improvement
Two items received relatively lower ratings:
Audio quality of recorded lectures was rated a 3, suggesting room for improvement in the technical delivery of asynchronous content (e.g., microphone quality, background noise, or recording platform).
Opportunities for providing feedback were rated a 4, indicating that while mechanisms were available, students may benefit from more structured or frequent check-ins to voice concerns or suggestions.
This feedback affirms that my instructional approach—rooted in student-centered methods, accessibility, and responsiveness—resonates well with learners. As I continue to improve my teaching, I plan to:
Enhance the technical quality of recorded lectures.
Create additional or more visible feedback channels (e.g., anonymous mid-semester surveys, optional 1:1s).
Continue integrating inclusive discussion formats to support student voices.
