Looking after the well-being of teachers and particularly novice teachers in their first five years of teaching is critical for supporting their flourishing and retention. A focus on strengthening novice teacher well-being helps to build a foundation for learner well-being, as well as the promotion of schools as environments within which the health and well-being of all can flourish.
