Atoms are the smallest particles is matter.
Molecules= atoms that join together.
Ex. H2O = water
Element= only one tipe of atom. Ex. nitrogen
Pure substance= same type of elements or compounds.
Ex. Water with minerals
Mixture= mix of components.
Ex. chocolate milk

SOLIDS have a definite shape.
have very little energy (molecules close together).
LIQUID take the shape of the container.
have energy (molecules move around).
GASES expand = fill all the space.
have a lot of energy.
