Tea Pavičić Zajec

Project Manager

In 2010 Tea finished integrated bachelor's and master's study at the Faculty of Teacher Education University of Zagreb, module ICT, where she received the academic title of the master of primary education. In 2012 she started PhD studies of information and communication science at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She has attended numerous conferences, her scientific and specialist researches have been published, and she has been working as the school project coordinator on Erasmus projects, as well as projects financed by the European Union. She has attended over a dozen international trainings about gamification and learning through games in classes and advanced ICT usage in classes. Her acquirements have been applied at First Primary School Varaždin where she has been working and using tablets in classes as supporting teaching tools. She earned her PhD degree in April, 2017 with doctoral thesis ‘’The Efficiency of the Usage of Information – Communication Technology at Teaching Maths in Primary School’’ and in December that same year she became the process manager of creation and enforcement of projects financed from EU fonds. Beside school, she has been working as an external associate for Profil Klett publishing label as an author of digital educational resources, as well for Algebra as a lecturer and an author of materials for Children’s Digital Academy. In 2019 and 2020 she was awarded by the Ministry of Education for being among top 500 educational workers in Croatia.


Sonja Tušek Podobnik

Project Coordinator

Born in 1966 in Varaždin, where she attended both elementary and secondary school. In Gimnazija Varaždin (secondary grammar school) she completed the teacher associate program, and as an A-student she did not have to take her graduation exams. In 1989 she graduated from Filozofski fakultet, department Čakovec, majoring in early elementary school education. She has been employed at Varaždin's 1st Elementary School since 1992, as an elementary school teacher. For the last 15 years she has headed the focus group for early elementary school teachers. She is also the head of the Student Co-op Barok, which has taken part in county and state festivals, organized humanitarian fairs and workshops for parents and students. Sonja has a special interest in clay work, and she is continually perfecting her craft on various workshops done by a host of associations, schools and individual artists. In 2017 she took part in a cross-sectoral seminar called Strategic Partnership Plus-Innovation in education in Romania. After that she was a team member for a number of Erasmus+ projects, heading workshops for parents and students. She prepares material for eTwinning sites and is involved in producing manuals for projects. Sonja and her students are involved in a number of eTwinning projects at the moment.


Adriana Držaić

Adriana Držaić was born in 1987 in Varaždin, where she finished primary and secondary school and graduated as a hotel managment technician. After that, she enrolled at the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb, which she successfully completed in 2012. The first game she designed with two other colleagues during her studies was called "Water" and the game was distributed by Unicef. Even during her studies, she helped children as a tutor using educational games and mental maps as teaching tools. She did an internship at the First Elementary School in Varaždin. In 2015 she started working at the same school as a teaching assistant for students with special needs and in 2017 she became a teacher in extended classes where she still works today. In her spare time, she restores furniture and makes jewelry and decorative items from recycled materials. In 2015, she had her first exhibition of zipper necklaces at the Ivan Rabuzin Cultural Center in Novi Marof.

Tamara Ređep

She graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin in 2001, and in 2009 she completed a postgraduate scientific study at the same faculty and obtained the academic degree of Master of Science. Since 2001 she has been working as a computer science teacher at the First Primary School in Varaždin. She was promoted to the title of "teacher advisor" in 2017. She is the co-author of certain educational contents for the Digital Academy (Algebra junior), as well as manuals created within the international ERASMUS K2 projects. Also, she is the author of several scientific and specialist researche papers related to improving the quality of the teaching process through the application of ICT, which as well as examples of good practice, she presents at various professional meetings and conferences. She regularly participates in the workshops of the Center of Excellence in Informatics for primary schools in Varaždin County. At the CARNET User Conference CUC 2019, for her work entitled "Realization of m-learning using the BYOD model in primary school" she received recognition for the best work of the conference. In October 2019 and 2020 she was awarded by the Ministry of Education for being among the 500 best educational workers in the Republic of Croatia.

Dina Zebec

Dina Zebec was born in 1990 in Varaždin, where she finished elementary school and high school for industrial design. In 2014, she graduated from The Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka in the class of professor Muhamed Čavrk, acquiring the Master of Fine Arts Pedagogy title. The making of handmade paper is the technique she investigates in her master thesis, which inspired her to work with recycled paper and combine it with graphics and dried plants. In her work, the artist explores natural forms and creates works on ecological themes. She primarily uses plants as a motif and incorporates the plants she finds in her environment into her works by collaging, imprinting, or printing. She works as an art teacher at Prva Osnovna Škola Varaždin and is a member of the Croatian Artists Association Varaždin since 2015. She had two solo exhibitions and participated in around 15 joint ones. As well as regularly exhibiting her art, she leads handmade paper making workshops. In cooperation with Gllugl Theatre, she designed the sets for two shows. Areas that interest her are printmaking, alternative and non-toxic printmaking techniques, graphic design, and the making of handmade paper.

In addition to the main team members who participated in the development of both educational games and all project activities, the project occasionally involved teachers Dušanka Narančić, Valerije Tomašković, Ivica Kolarić , Ružica Gregurić, and also some higher elementary school students .
