China is a one party state. Run by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Mr Xi Jinping is the General Secretary and President of the party and the country.
The CCP has a total of 91,914 thousand members, making it the largest political party in China.
The National People Congress (NPC) is the highest organ of state power of the People's Republic of China.
As of 2023 the NPC has a total of 2,980 seats. In which The Communist Party of China (CPC) holds 73.0% of the seats in the 13th NPC.
The chairman of the standing committee of the NPC is Mr Zhao Leji , a member of CCP.
China as a score of 45/100 in terms of ranking with 0 being highly corrupted and 100 being less corrupted. China rank 65 out of the 180 countries in the world as of 2022.
The Chinese government has taken some steps to address corruption, such as creating a National Anti-Corruption Commission and launching a series of anti-corruption campaigns. However, these efforts have been criticized as being largely ineffective.

The main language of China is Mandarin Chinese.

The largest ethnic group in China are the Han Chinese which account to 92% in China, the rest being made up of ethnic minorities, the biggest being the Zhuang's.
The predominant culture of China is the Han Chinese culture it has been influenced by a variety of factors, including Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism.
Many minority ethnic groups live in poorer and less developed conditions of China than the Han Chinese. This can lead to the minorities feeling resentment and unhappiness.
