Maintenance items that an NCS Tournament Host should attend to:
If your tournament(s) will not be played, the tournament director is required to "turn off" the "Active" (Green to White) button next to the tournament in their account to remove it from the listings on the website.
This keeps our NCS website full of active tournaments without cluttering the system with events that will not be played.
Tournament Directors are required to "remove" all teams that are not participating in their event before the tournament begins.
By removing teams before the start of play, it cleans the site and makes your tournament up-to-date with regards to list of teams and list of divisions.
If for some reason a division does not make, please remove the entire division so it keeps the site clean for viewers. (Customers dislike clicking on a division and it is not active with teams)
Each tournament host profile (the HTML profile) is required to clearly state:
Rain-out policy
Cancellation policy
Refund policy
Gate Fees need to be included, even though there is a box in the profile that you may have filled out....it is not posting, so make sure you physically type this into your HTML description of tournament.
Team insurance, if not NCS purchased, should be uploaded and NCS named as Additional Insured
Rostered players should be "approved" so they are viewable on the public side and at least "8" players listed before the event begins
Monitor your tournament teams:
Make sure that you protect teams and divisions in both baseball and fastpitch. If you have a team that you feel your state/regional/national director needs to move up, please make a phone call and let them review their playing record and make a decision if a team is ready to be re-classified.
