As part of the development of an IC-PBL (Industry-Coupled Problem-Based Learning) course, Chonnam National University students collaborated with Wooden House(꿈꾸는 목수), a local woodworking enterprise, to carry out a meaningful community project. Over the course of one month, the program included an orientation, on-site training, the construction of a toy house, and a closing ceremony with a donation event. Despite the hot weather, the students personally designed and built the toy house, which was later donated to a local daycare center — marking a valuable contribution to the community and a rewarding hands-on learning experience.

Chonnam National University’s TCLA is a practical program where students design and build wooden structures to promote domestic timber and revitalize the local industry. Guided by Professor Sung-Jun Pang and CEO Tae-Woong So, students gain hands-on experience in both light-frame and heavy timber construction. In the Fall 2025 semester, supported by the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute(Kofpi), they built a "Domestic Timber Shelter" using local cypress and recycled wood, donating it to the Jeollanam-do Forest Research Institute.
