LOAN PRIVILEGES & REGULATIONS
All bonafide students, faculty, and staff, of Tagoloan Community College may avail the resources, services, and facilities of the library. Also, visitors and alumni who have permission note to do research work. The current official School ID or Certificate of Registration (for first year student) is needed for all library transactions. Do not lend your ID to anyone else; violation means cancellation of all library privileges for both parties concerned.
To borrow, bring the item/s and present your current validated school ID at the circulation counter and fill out the book card upon receiving the resources. To return borrowed materials, present the item/s to the staff at the counter. Make sure that the item/s are in good condition and ensure the book card has been signed for returning purposes.
GENERAL LOAN POLICIES
1) Before the final examinations, all information’s sources will be for inside use only. The schedule will be posted in advance.
2) The borrower is responsible for books he or she checks out. The library has no obligation to send out overdue notices.
3) Books checked out by faculty or students should not be passed on to another faculty or student. The Library will hold the faculty or student to whom the book is checked out to, responsible for the book.
4) All materials are subject to recall at any time. Recalled materials should be returned at once.
5) Clearance will only be given to faculty and students who have returned all borrowed materials and have settled any accountabilities.
FINES & PENALTIES
1. General Collection - Php10.00 per book/day
2. Reserve Books - Php10.00 per book/hour
3. Filipiniana Books - Php 3.00 per book/day
4. Lost Books
4.1 Lost books must be reported at once. The fine on an overdue book shall stop at the time the book is reported lost. A replacement copy of the same title and edition is due for any lost book.
4.2 If a replacement copy is not available, assessment shall be according to the cost of the book indicated in the computer records.
4.3 When a book reported lost is found and returned to the Library, the cost of the book will be refunded but there will be a sub-charge of 10%
4.4 Any book not returned at the end of a semester is considered lost.
5. Mutilated/Damaged Materials
5.1 Materials with missing or mutilated pages should be reported at once.
5.2 Anyone who attempts to mutilate or damage or is caught mutilating or defacing a material will be reported to the Dean of Student Affairs for disciplinary action. In addition, the person shall pay a rebinding fee of Php 100.00 for those books judged for rebinding or a copying fee for certain missing pages, or the replacement value for those too damaged for repair.
