The Erasmus+ Program offers travel funding for participants, up to a maximum amount depending on the distance from the partner organisations' locations to the event site. Participants must initially cover their travel expenses, with reimbursements issued after the completion of the follow-up phase. We encourage participants to opt for the most environmentally sustainable transportation options and will assist in finding suitable choices.
IMPORTANT: only pre-approved tickets will be reimbursed! Selected participants will have to propose their journeys in detail and can book them just after our approval.
We are at your disposal to find the best logistical and economical solutions!
GREEN Travel uses low-emissions means of transport for the main part of the travel, such as bus, train, bike or car-pooling.
For distances under 500 km, participants are expected to travel using low-emission transportation methods.
We highly recommend to take in consideration our ecological footprint. We understand that there are often very long distances. However, we encourage you to consider using at least public transportation or carpooling from your home base to the airport.
In order to count on the green travel budget, all transport must be done in an ecological manner.
If you choose to travel 100% green (e.g. by train, and/or bus only, and/or carpooling), you are entitled to 2 additional travel days, for which you will receive a small allowance, as defined by EU funding rules. If you need any additional travel days beyond that, please make sure to let us know.
100% attendance of every participant is completed from the arrival day up to and including the departure date.
JOETZ is in possession of your personal details and copies of your tickets as proof of transport costs incurred. Therefore a Google drive folder will be used.
You completed a Google evaluation form (during the last day of the activity). We are in possession of your follow-up activity, in which you show us what you have done to share your experiences and inspire others in your (professional) network.
Reimbursement takes place after the end of the project, starting from a set date, and from the moment we are in the possession of what is asked for here above. Be aware that this proces can easily take up to two months, after the project has finished.
When booking your tickets, please consider the following travel times:
