How can I become involved in the union? There are many committees, volunteer positions and time release positions. See our page Time Release Officers, Elected Volunteer Teacher Rep, Branch Representative and Committees, 

When is the next AGM? Our next Annual General Meeting will be listed on the AGM page. 

I keep hearing DEC... What is it? District Executive Committee. That Committee is made up of representatives from all 6 Bargaining Units  It is a collective body that includes all the education sectors under one umbrella. 

Should I attend the DEC AGM? Yes of course you should. See the District AGM (DEC) site for more details. 

What does TBU stand for? Teacher Bargaining Unit - includes Contract teachers

What does OTBU stand for? Occasional Teacher Bargaining Unit - includes LTOs and Supply Teachers. 

What does CBC stand for? Collective Bargaining Committee.
