Meet with Administration to deal with issues between members and admin.

Attend monthly TBU Meetings and relay information to members via email and staff meetings.

Support staff with contractual issues
Monitors APAs minutes.
TBU Meeting once a month shared with In-School Staffing rep is needed.

Meeting once a month as a committee
Supports staff with health & safety matters.
With members from additional unions in the building, perform walk around for health and safety concerns.
Discusses and supports with members health and safety concerns in their work spaces and classroom.
Advocates for a healthy and working environment for all employees.
Provides support with filling in Health and Safety reporting forms.

Offer support to staff members for APA minutes.
Meets with Administration - as needed or 3 to 4 times a year.

To review class numbers (make sure classes are not exceeding caps)
Reviews staffing and sections available.
Attend TBU CBC Meetings once a month, divided between CBC and In School Staffing - both may attend.

Responsibilities:
Support TBU members request for Professional Development.
Discuss applications to ensure PD is within the expectations of the guidelines.
Support TBU members in schools to apply for funding and claims for PD.

Promotes the excellence of public secondary education
Promotes the pride that OSSTF D17 Teachers have in their own skills and contributions to their profession, to their students, and to their communities.
Committee liaises with the Simcoe County District School Board to assist the Board in promoting public secondary education and organizes submissions for the OSSTF Student Achievement Awards.
