This was one of my earliest projects, and it shows as a solo project. Done in Unreal back when I was doing my Cert 4, this game was a simple mobile game concept where the player would tap on the screen to make the player dash in the direction tapped. They’d have two dashes (Outside of a power up that would refresh the dash), which could be charged, and suspend the player in mid air.

It… Wound up being much more complex than I thought. There was no easy way to track the mouse position, and I had to get a lot of help. It was a project that taught me a lot about asking for that. Coding isn’t my strong suit to this day! But I received help. I think it's important to understand limits and accepting that you can always do your best and ask for help when you're ultimately stumped.

But all in all? I love this project still. I like the idea of a platformer where your only option is dashing, especially if it got taken further and had proper execution.
