The surviving city, the last eden.
What was once a bustling city, skyscrapers dominated the landscape. Everything built up with the latest cutting edge technology. Everything powered with the planet's most fascinating resource: Element. From toasters and phones, to weapons and mech suits. There was nothing this stuff couldn't be used for.
There were seemingly no downsides for a long time - but as mass production and quick expansion across the globe utterly drained it of most of its natural resources, this element became corrupted, as if it was somehow alive and retaliating for killing the planet. One by one great cities fell to dismay and ruin, which prompted the evacuation fleets, and the Shepherd Program to be developed, here in Mattera City.
This is where the great launch was, and where those in the program were left behind to watch and wait for the planet to recover without the stress of the vast human population crawling all over it.
The robotic cleaning crew still roam and keep the city somewhat intact, and the atmospheric holo-dome that protects it from the harsh environment is still functional. It's the last place that greenery and plant life remain, many of the buildings becoming overgrown with vegetation.

A graveyard on a global scale, teaming with a new kind of life.
It's a dry, arid, hot landscape where the sun beats down endlessly. Water is scarce, and is found mostly only in sulfur pools.
Microscopic life that's grown to gargantuan proportions.
Nematodes, Tardigrades, Parasites and more. Where other life has failed, these strange creatures have thrived, grown, and evolved beyond imagining. Wandering the wastes as if they were verdant plains.
They're opportunistic and will hunt and eat whatever it is they can find.

A secondary telemetry station that is far outside the borders of Mattera city. It's main purpose was to act as a long-range communications device between Prime and the fleet ships.
The harsh climate of the wastes, as well as the infestation of the extremophiles have rendered it nearly impossible to get to.

The rebirth of a God, brings with it a new hope.
Odtos, the Living Forest. Previously a titan on a dying world. Through Beacon's efforts, a sliver, a seed of his likeness was rescued from the brink. With permission, a small group of Beacon members planted the seed on Newton's planet.
Since sprouting, Odtos as grown considerably. His influence spreading with fields of new greenery. He's built himself a fortress, a labyrinth of roots underneath massive trees, and curiously glowing blooms. This is his home, his glade where he rests peacefully. The impressive glade that surrounds him slowly spreads further and further with each passing day.
Surprisingly, the extremophiles that dare to enter the glade, seem to be soothed and become more docile below the lush canopy.
