“Girl at Home” is a song off the deluxe edition of Taylor Swift’s fourth studio album, Red. Taylor describes a man who attempted to hit on her even though he already had a girlfriend at the time. She refuses, since she had “once been just like her.”

In this Taylor's Version of “Girl At Home,” Taylor has changed the entire instrumentation and production of the song. The song has a more upbeat electro-pop sound, similar to her pop songs on 1989, most notably “New Romantics.” This switch of sound consolidates her decision to switch to more pop during her Red era. She also augmented her vocals, while accelerating the tempo to a faster pace than one seen in the other (stolen) version.

This is possibly the version Taylor wanted for the song originally, but was declined by her label at the time. Now that she is able to, she reverted it to the way she envisioned it.
