Our Team

Taylor's Tails was founded by Dawn in October 2023.

Dawn joined the United States Air Force in March 1994. She retired from the United States Air Force in July 2014, as a Master Sergeant (E-7). Her job was Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 1C371, Command and Control Operations Craftsman. She was stationed and deployed to numerous locations to include Nellis Air Force Base (AFB) in Las Vegas, Nevada; Ramstein Air Base (AB) in Germany; Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) in Tullahoma, Tennessee; Guang Ju, South Korea; Scott AFB near Belleville, Illinois; Ashgabat, Turkmenistan; and Aviano AB in Italy. She retired in July 2014.

Dawn served the Air Force as a civil servant from March 2015 to April 2023. During that period she was a Command and Control Operations Apprentice Instructor (GS-9), Curriculum Development Manager (GS-11), and Training Development Element Chief (GS-12). Dawn obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Management from American Military University in 2007 and her Master's Degree in Education - Educational Technology from Louisiana State University in 2021. She was a Defense Contractor for Crew Training International from May 2023 to February 2024.

Dawn is a mother of two adult children, a son and daughter, and a grandmother to her 19-month-old granddaughter. Dawn has been married to her wife, Whitney since April 2015. Whitney is a Builder Chief in the United States Navy Seabees. Dawn is also a dog mom to two dogs, Diesel and Roux.

Dawn has always enjoyed animals since she was a little girl and followed her passion to provide dog boarding and day care. She also provides drop-in care for dogs, cats, and sometimes bunnies. , She started her services full-time in February 2024. She is pet first aid (advanced) and pet CPR (advanced) certified and insured through Pet Care Insurance.

Whitney helps Dawn out when she's able. She is a dog lover and a "dog-whisperer". She enjoys meeting all new dogs. They are all drawn to her and quickly become her best friend!

We are happy to announce Alicia joined the team in February 2025. She is very knowledgeable on all dog breeds. She specializes in breeding, show dogs, and behavioral training as well as service dog training. Stay tuned for more information on her service offerings at Taylor's Tails.

Diesel

Diesel is a 10-year-old Siberian Husky.

Roux

Roux is a 5-year-old Chocolate Lab.
