Writing Pedagogy
In Fall 2025, I am teaching a section of ID1 (Critical Inquiry Seminar), the freshman writing course at Pomona College. My course, titled The Secular Divine, engages students in reading, writing, and class discussions to explore the many ways in which people find experiences of transcendence outside of traditional religious contexts. My course was written about in an article on the Pomona College news website.
I've worked in writing centers as a peer writing consultant at both Harvey Mudd College and UT Austin. I believe that effective communication is an essential part of any discipline, including mathematics, and I am passionate about helping others improve their writing and presentation skills.
Outside of math, I enjoy art, literature, hiking, backpacking, nature, science, philosophy, music, and connecting with other human beings.
