Everyday people all over the world do amazing acts of kindness for one another. Unfortunately, these acts are not always well known due to the news being taken up by other important events. While these events are important to learn about, it is also easy to get overwhelmed by some of the negative things going on in our world. In this project focused on good news stories, stories that specifically involve ordinary people doing the right thing.
Students selected an everyday person that did something extraordinary. This person had a choice, and they choose to do the right thing in one way or another. We read about the courageous act that this person did, and created podcasts about them. They took a news story and transformed it into a first-person account, incorporating additional details that were not included in the article. Here students used their creativity to imagine what it would have been like to be this individual and do this good deed.
Let’s spread some positivity and let these stories inspire our own lives!
