Future City Project

Over the last several decades, humans have had a substantial impact on our world. While advancements in technology are undoubtedly incredible feats, many will argue that we are not doing enough to protect the only habitable planet we have.

The truth is, we don’t know exactly what the future will hold; what it will look like, how things may change. In this project the 5th graders imagined the possibilities for 100 years in the future. It isn’t an option to continue along the path that we are on. People are working every day to come up with solutions to the various issues impacting our world.

In this project students explored ways that we can make changes to fix our world in the future, or explore the potential of creating a living community on the Moon. They realistically came up with a plan and built scale models of their cities. Below are pictures of what the groups came up with!
