Taunton Bowling Club is situated within the wonderful grounds of Vivary park, just a short stroll from Taunton town centre.

The Club, which is run solely by its members, offers a warm welcome to all, regardless of age, background or ability, so whether you’re looking for a competitive sport or a hobby, or to make new friends, or to have some exercise (possibly all), bowls and Taunton Bowling Club are a good option for you.
We offer superb playing facilities, a 3 rink indoor green and an excellent 6 rink outdoor green.
The Club runs internal club competitions and is very active in inter-club local and national competitions. We have been honoured to host the prestigious county finals on many occasions.
We have a well stocked bar and catering area to support matches and social events, self service café areas, and a busy social calendar

Taunton A Team have won the West Somerset League Division 1 Championship.
Taunton C Team have won the West Somerset League Division 2 Championship.
The Mixed Fours Team of Lynn Williams, Elaine Amery, James Amery, and Kevin Cottrell had a great win in the Somerset Area Final of the National Mixed Fours.
The Somerset Armed Forces Day at Vivary Park on Saturday, July 5th, 2025 was a great day out for all and the club managed to get a good few people interested in having a go and joining the Taunton Bowling Club.
We have run a number of open days recently, including support for Armed Forces Day. More are planned soon, give an eye out on our FaceBook Page.
We have re-launched our FaceBook presence and intend to keep it very active for news and details about the club. The old page is still on FaceBook but is not being maintained anymore.
Summer Season [Indoor and Outdoor] starting soon [April]. Winter Season Ending.

We have been very busy in the outdoor lawn management to get it ready for the new season.
