Taunton Bowling Club is situated within the wonderful grounds of Vivary park, just a short stroll from Taunton town centre.

There is parking at Fons George at the rear-end of Vivary Park - see pin [run by the local council not directly connected to the club]

about the Club

We are fully affiliated: to Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association, Somerset Bowls Association, Somerset County Indoor Bowls Association
We are a registered Community Amateur Sports Club: Have your say in how we run both formally and informally.
Members Run the Club: They form the Club Personnel Roles and are encouraged to get involved with both the formal roles [e.g. the committee] and helping with activities needed to maintain the club such as training, working on the greens, gardening, catering, behind the bar, etc.
Our club is inclusive: We have members of all ages and backgrounds. We run ladies, gents and mixed competitions.
We cater for disabilities: We offer features that are accessible for people with disabilities, such as ramps, lifts, wide doorways, and accessible restrooms.
We have wide opening hours: Monday-Sunday morning-afternoon-evening all year around [some exceptions may apply].
We welcome experienced and new players: You will find members of varying levels. You will not be alone. And our members are very helpful and friendly. We run special welcome events for beginners.
We cater for competitive bowlers: Our club participates in formal internal and inter-club competitions at both experienced and beginner levels.
We cater for casual bowlers: There is also turn up fun sessions where you can play games with other members, or if you want you can just practice or play your own way.
Joining is easy: You can join individually or as a family or group of friends. Or find friends at the club.
Coaching is available: Full courses are available for beginners and members are willing to pass on experience to all. You will get 3 free lessons to get you going. Further coaching can also be arranged to help you progress.
We have good onsite facilities: We have changing rooms, toilets, social seating areas, catering/bar facilities, vending machines, lockers, all available for members.
We have member social events: Quiz evenings, meals, Bingo, Beetle Drives, Xmas Party, Xmas Draw Morning, etc.
We are local to Taunton town centre: Set in Vivary Park and a short walk from the town centre.
Local Parking: there is a public car park [not run by the club] at the back of Vivary Park.
