An elevator speech is a clear, brief message or “commercial” about something. It communicates very quickly; it’s typically about 30 seconds, the time it takes people to ride from the top to the bottom of a building in an elevator. The idea behind having an elevator speech is that you are prepared to share this information with anyone, at any time, even in an elevator!
Take a moment to think about leadership. Somewhere in that scenario, plug yourself in and think about what you feel your role is and what is important to you.
First, write an opening statement about yourself that will grab attention. Be enthusiastic.

Then, explain why leadership is important and why it is important to you.
Finally, how will you want your audience (one person or many) to respond.
