Our testing set up consisted of:
- Alien RFID ALR 9680 Reader, Antenna, and Eartags
- Wooden Support Frame with Dimensions Similar to the Farm
- Raspberry Pi Model B+
- 4 Solenoid Valves
- Breadboard
- 1” and ½” Schedule 40 PVC Piping with Appropriate PVC Adaptors
- DHT22 Temperature-Humidity Sensor
- Sensor Relay
- LEDs , Flyback Diodes, Resistors, (Circuit Components)
- 4 180 degree misting PVC nozzles

Below is our final code on the Raspberry Pi along with the final wiring diagram. We reached these after testing our design. We added fly back diodes to the sensor relay after a mechanical failure. Without them the relay fried and one solenoid valve was stuck open.
