Assignment 1 is done ^w^

I really learnt a lot from this assignment. Firstly, I understand more about myself in Empathy stage. I discovered my strengths and weaknesses and also my loves and hates in the process of creating the empathy map. Through research, I also know more about the important qualities as a leader. This is important for me because I always be a leader since young. I might not be the perfect leader, but I keep learning and growing in my journey.

I was once hoping for the best results in every task, but when I faced this subject, I realized my working way can't apply on it. There is neither perfect nor best answer for this subject! The only way to do is to apply design thinking process. Try to do research, make a problem statement, generate ideas... now I realized that I couldn't judge my ideas. Every ideas will gather together and lead to a better results. It is just like solving puzzle, you can't jump the process just wanting to see the final pictures. It requires patience, determination and creativity, to transform the scattered pieces into a complete picture. Like Mr. Charles said, in design thinking, 1 plus 1 doesn't necessary equals to 2. It can be anything in your imagination.

Secondly, I learnt the lesson of managing my time. I made a timeline for this assignment, but I didn't follow exactly on the timeline. Sometimes I procrastinate, and the main reason of procrastination is because of my will of seeking perfectness. I want to start the assignment in perfect time, with perfect resources, with perfect environment, with perfect mindset.....That didn't happen. There will be no perfectness and the only way to do is to START DOING NOW! Start scribbling , start doodling! The ideas will never come when you don't want to start. So, after I saw others' progress, I have the awareness of starting my assignment in this moment. Although I haven't think of the big picture of my country, I still continue with my progress and do a lot of research and even ask others' opinion...and all of these gathered together and help me to visualize my ideal country.

Thirdly, I learnt how to challenge myself in this assignment. I never design a website before, so this is a great challenge for me to figure out how to access Google Sites. Next, I also never draw digitally before, so I bought a tablet and tried to draw digitally in Photoshop. I also borrow my sister's iPad and try to draw the national costume of Preludy. I get to know that draw digitally is very different than traditional drawing using pencil and paper. I wish I can get familiar with digital drawing very soon as I will use it a lot in my degree.

To recapitulate, this assignment is undeniably an unforgettable experience for me. I really gain a lot and enjoy in the process of doing this assignment. I hope keep improving throughout the journey. ^^
