We have enjoyed Jarvis, our 2018 M3P so much that we decided to get a second. For years I had a reservation for a Cybertruck, however, following the dissapointing test drive and the insane pricing increase, we decided to get a second M3P instead. We are keeping our old and mostly reliable Silverado for truck stuff. It has 180K miles, but is still rust free.
The improvements with the M3P over the years are very obvious when going from driving Jarvis to Scarlett. Although I have replaced almost all of the suspension in Jarvis, Scarlett feels just as planted with the new suspension and wider rear tires.
The acceleration is still violent when you stomp the go pedal, but it's a smoother acceleration. Maybe that is somewhat due to the new active suspension?
Just like in Jarvis, Scarlett needed to have the windows tinted. We went back to Q Car Care, as they did such a fabulous job with Jarvis years ago. They did the same for Scarlett. We went with a slightly darker 35%, vs. 40% on Jarvis. The change before and after is "night and day" :-)
Unbelievable. One week after taking delivery and within the first 538 miles, somehow, a stick or wood chip managed to pierce through the sidewall of our new rear tire. This is when I learned what these rear tires cost(!) However, I then realized that Tesla is running a promotion for their new $16/mo. wheel and tire protection program, and the first two weeks is included with new purchases. So, for the $25 service fee, our $528 rear tire was replaced. I will certainly be subscribing to this service for as long as possible.
The Tesla branded floor mats we purchased for Jarvis have been outstanding, and have held up to 140K miles of driving and still look great. So, we purchased the new form fitting floor mats for Scarlett. It wasn't until I sat in the passenger seat that I realized how dumb this particular floor mat is. Unless you have child sized feet, these do nothing to protect the carpet above the middle of your foot. This seems like a dumb design decision, as the previous mats in Jarvis reach well above my toes on my size 12 feet.
