League Cup Rules
33. Each round of the League Cup shall be played over two weeks, as home and away fixtures, except the Final, which will also be played as a home and away fixture, back-to-back on the scheduled League Cup Final night at a neutral venue/board.
34. The format of each fixture consists of 2 games of doubles (One Leg) followed by 5 games of singles (Best of 3 legs).
35. Doubles Games shall be 701, Straight/No Double Start, Double Out, One Leg, and No Bust Rule to Apply.
36. Singles Games shall be 501, Straight/No Double Start, Double Out, Best of 3 Legs, and No Bust Rule to Apply. Once a player reaches 2 legs there is no need to play the final leg.
37. At the conclusion of the 14th Game of a round, if the result is tied a Blind Draw shall be made from ALL of the players who were drawn in fixtures on the second night. The two drawn players shall play a deciding game consisting of a Singles Game which shall be 501, Straight/No Double Start, Double Out, Best of 3 Legs, and No Bust Rule to Apply. Once a player reaches 2 legs there is no need to play the final leg.
38. A single player may play in both one Doubles game and one Singles game in a cup fixture.
39. Teams must consist of a minimum of 3 players to play any of the fixtures referred to in this section.
40. In the event of a team not being able to field the required 5 players to play all legs of a match, the opposing captain can select from his team the matching number of players to play these legs with the remaining players receiving a ‘bye’.
41. In the event of both teams not being able to provide the required 5 players, but arrive with an equal number either 3 or 4 players on both teams, a blind draw will be made from all the players who have played to provide a deciding leg.
42. One substitute may be named at the time of the draw being made, but may only be used if a drawn player needs to leave due to unforeseen circumstances, or on a drawn player not arriving at the venue by the time their game is called, (In this circumstance the opposing captain should be made aware at time of the draw that a player is not in the room).
43. Doubles games shall be played first, followed by the Singles games, all legs shall be played as drawn.
44. A ‘Bull-Up’ will take place before commencing the game by a nominated player from each team, with the team winning the ’Bull-Up’ receiving first throw in the odd games (1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th), the opponents will receive first throw in the even games (2nd, 4th, and 6th).
45. In the Best of 3 Singles Games, the team receiving ‘The First Throw’ as in rule 44, shall receive the darts (first throw) in the 1st Leg, the away team shall receive the darts (first throw) in the 2nd Leg. In the event of a deciding leg a ‘Bull-Up’ shall be made, the Home Team shall throw for ‘Bull’ first. In the event of a deemed Nearest Bull Draw, the players shall swap over, and alternate first throw in event of further deemed draws.
46. All cup games shall require at least one team member to be at the venue to make a 20:30 draw, games to commence no later than 20:45. Any team not on the oche/starting on time shall be disqualified.
47. All drawn games shall be played to completion, even in the event of a winning team having been decided.
48. Failure to attend a Cup Event will result in an automatic elimination from that cup being played. However, this does not affect any other Cup Events.
