Blind Doubles Rules
130. Players shall register individually and a random draw will be made to select the pairings from the registered players. The ‘Blind Draw’ shall be final and no pairings can be changed once the draw is made.
131. The Game shall be 701, Straight/No Double Start, Double Out, One Leg, and No Bust Rule to Apply. Once a pairing reaches win there is no need to complete any further legs.
132. All rounds will be Best of 3 Legs until the Semi-Final and Final, which shall be Best of 5 Legs.
133. A ‘Bull-Up’ by the players will take place before commencing the game. The pairing drawn first shall throw for ‘Bull’ first, with the winner receiving first throw in the odd legs, the opponents will receive first throw in the even legs.
134. In the event of any Game reaching a deciding leg, a further ‘Bull-Up shall be made, to decide who throws first in this final leg. The pairing drawn first shall throw for ‘Bull’ first. In the event of a deemed Nearest Bull draw, the pairing shall swap over, and alternate first throw in event of further deemed draws.
135. A Losing player in each Game shall remain at the board to mark the next game. In the event this player is unable to mark the game, it is their responsibility to find an alternate or notify the committee to assist.
136. All entrants must be at the venue and registered for 20:30 draw, games to commence at 20:45. Any team not on the oche/starting on time shall be disqualified.
137. To be eligible to play in the Blind Doubles Cup a player must have played a minimum of three league nights that season. The league nights can be either League Fixtures or Cup Fixtures, but two cup rounds in one evening only count as one night.
