When you submit your proposal, you and your co-presenters are committing to register for and participate in the conference, if your work is accepted. In a gathering of this size, presentation opportunities will be limited. Cancellations leave gaps in the day that are disappointing to our colleagues and peers. Open slots represent a missed opportunity to learn from someone else. We ask that you plan to present when you propose your session.
Prior to submitting a proposal that includes other presenters (i.e., chair, respondent, presenter, performer, etc.), be certain that they are willing to participate in the conference upon acceptance of the program.
Only proposals submitted by those affiliated with a library in the Texas A&M system will be considered. This could include librarians, paraprofessional staff, managers, or other library workers. Guest presenters will be considered, but collaboration with an A&M library employee in the session is required.
Conference presentations are a great way to solicit feedback on new research and projects that have not been published. Presenters are responsible for navigating existing copyright agreements for published papers and/or materials that have been presented at another meeting.
The planning committee strives to create a conference program that represents the diversity of ideas and activity across the system. Proposals will be selected to support an engaging program that provides a variety of content from as many voices as possible.
By submitting a proposal and/or presenting at the conference, presenters affirm that all works submitted and presented are original creations and/or properly cited and credited. For more information on Copyright and Fair Use, please see the American Library Association Copyright for Libraries LibGuide. Presenters who are accepted to participate in the conference must ensure that all shared documents (power points, PDFs etc.) are accessible. For tips on making PowerPoints accessible, we recommend the Seven Steps to Creating an Accessible PowerPoint Slideshow.

More detail about the session types can be found in our Session Format Options. The Committee will review the session proposals using the conference Scoring Rubric.
