There are a variety of reasons I get asked about people's decisions about having kids, because it's a decision that interacts with so many decisions and outcomes in the labour market. For example, I got asked about whether we should push for a shorter work week to (somehow) encourage women to have more kids and thus (somehow) help us with concerns about population aging.
