Hello, Owls!
Welcome to Term 3! The only homework I am assigning is for students to continue their reading at night. A pink reading log will be given out on Monday, February 2. Please be sure to sign off on your child's nightly reading. It is due on March 2. I have attached a copy below for your reference.
We will have our next spelling test on Friday, February 6. The students will receive their word list on Monday (2/2/26), but I have attached one below for your records. On Thursday, February 5, they will be writing sentences with those words. We will be writing the words daily to help them remember the spellings and meanings. I encourage a little practice at night with writing out the words, but it is not mandatory.
We will also be continuing with our daily sentence corrections. Should your child need to be out of class for an extended period of time, please use the form below to complete this assignment. This week we will be on Week 19. Additionally, we will continue to work on our cursive handwriting. Some students have shown improvement, but many are still struggling. Cursive takes practice! This week's pages are below.
Scholar is having another reading contest from now through May 1. Students were handed the information last week; please reach out if you did not receive it.
