A little bit about me... I am new to Tooele, having relocated from Moab in July 2024, where I taught first grade. This will be my second year with Scholar, and I am staying with the fifth grade. I also lived for a few years in Austin, Texas, where I taught trade school. I am originally from Southern California, and while I sometimes miss the beach, I am very happy to be living in Utah now.
I have a BA in Elementary Education from Western Governors University and an MS in Health Information Management from the College of St. Scholastica. My first career was in healthcare (for almost 27 years), but I have found teaching to be far more fulfilling. I have loved being an educator and hope to continue to do so for many years to come. I am currently working on my second Master's degree, this time in Education with an emphasis on Teaching and Learning through Clemson University. I am also pursuing my Doctorate in Education (EDD) through CSS. On my list of to-dos is to earn a degree in History.
