This video is 7 minutes and 39 second long. The trip covered 26 days. You are seeing a whopping 0.2% of this entire trip with some generous rounding and that is also assuming that you get the full experience just by looking at the picture. It is not even close to how much you will experience if you take a trip of your own. Have no fear in watching this video. There are an incomprehensible amount of things that could go different. Your experience will likely be so different that it will not matter anyway. Just enjoy the video. It will make you want to go take the trip even more, not deter you from going.
Not everything in this video is on the trail. We would branch out or take a wrong turn somewhere. Some of it shows places we stayed instead of riding videos.
For the record, I do in fact have videos that show what the trail actually looks like. Unfortunately a lot of these videos are either fogged up due to the casing on the camera or they are angled wrong and looking directly at the dirt. I had never tried to record using a GoPro style setup before. I could not really test anything beforehand either because I was kinda busy trying to learn how to actually ride a motorcycle, let alone mess with a camera while doing that. As a result, the learning curve for video making had to happen while we were on the trip. This lead to much better quality videos as the trip progressed. I also have a lot of videos. I mean I have an insane amount of riding videos. Anything from 10 second clips to 30 minute videos. If anyone wants this raw footage of what the trails actually looks like I can put them up here. Of course, I will have to weed through the videos and figure out which ones are useful enough to put up here. This means it might take me a little while to get it up. Just let me know in the comments section on the homepage if you want some of these videos up and you will have them.
