I was born in Nagasaki, Japan and currently live in Escondido, California. I have a husband and a malt poodle. My only hobby is gardening, so I have all kinds of plants for Ikebana in my garden!
Before moving to California, I lived in Arkansas where I graduated from East Arkansas Community College with an Art Major in 2001. While I was there, I taught Ikebana for the garden club in Memphis, Tennessee.
I have studied Japanese Ikebana Floral Design for almost 40 years through the Ohara School of Ikebana from whom I have earned the first degree of the master course.
I have been teaching an Ikebana arrangement class at Escondido Adult School since 2005 and also have taught Ikebana at Continuing Education at Mesa College since 2015.
And even after I moved to California, I have had the opportunity to demonstrate for some garden clubs and the Oasis organization.
