Tactical Activities Group (TAG) is a multinational military simulation (milsim) unit inspired by the structure and operational style of the U.S. Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment. We are committed to delivering an immersive, authentic experience with a strong focus on realism, teamwork, and tactical execution.
Founded by Tactical Bootneck — a former Royal Marines Commando turned content creator — TAG brings a unique blend of real-world experience and community-driven gameplay to the Arma Reforger milsim scene.
If you're seeking a serious, structured unit that emphasizes discipline, coordination, and combat realism, TAG is ready to welcome you.

Joining TAG is a structured, multi-step process designed to integrate new members smoothly into the unit:
Start by joining the Tactical Bootneck Discord server.
Complete the TAG Application Form — this helps us gather your background and experience.
Once submitted, contact our Lead Training Officer (TO) — currently Dribble — who will provide details about your Induction Session.
After induction, you’ll begin Basic Training, which is divided into four phases. We aim to complete this within four weeks, at which point you’ll become a fully-fledged member of the Tactical Activities Group.
TAG operates on a structured weekly schedule, with events held every Sunday from 18:30 to 21:30 GMT. We alternate between training sessions and combat operations, often with training directly preparing for the following mission.
Attendance Expectations:
Members are expected to attend sessions in full (3 hours).
While we understand that real life takes priority, a minimum attendance rate of 75% is required.
Important: You must attend the training session prior to an operation in order to participate in that operation. These trainings often include rehearsals and mission-specific preparation critical to unit cohesion and success.
This structure ensures readiness, realism, and a high level of coordination across the unit
TAG members are expected to maintain at least 75% attendance for all official Sunday events, including both operations and training sessions.
While midweek squad training is encouraged for skill development and team cohesion, it does not count toward the 75% requirement.
Important: If a member does not attend the Sunday training prior to an operation, they will not be eligible to participate in that operation in their usual role. They will only be able to participate as an ancillary roles. This is to ensure all participants are properly prepared and rehearsed for mission success.
Consistency and preparation are essential to the realism and effectiveness of our unit.
No. Prior military service is not required to join TAG.
We welcome members from all backgrounds and walks of life, whether you're a seasoned milsim player, new to the genre, a veteran, or a complete beginner. What matters most is a willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and uphold the standards of realism and professionalism that define our unit.
TAG conducts a wide range of mission types inspired by the real-world 75th Ranger Regiment. While we maintain conventional infantry capabilities, we often lean toward more specialized, high-impact operations.
Typical operations include:
Direct Action Raids
Platoon-Level Assaults
Quick Reaction Force (QRF) Missions
Counter-Intelligence Operations
Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition
Joint Task Force-style Missions
Our scenarios are designed to challenge players with complex objectives, realistic tactics, and dynamic threats — often with a narrative thread or persistent campaign context.
Yes. TAG maintains a highly dedicated Joint Tactical Air Squadron (JTAS) composed of skilled pilots who train extensively to support ground operations with precision and realism.
If you're interested in joining as a pilot:
You may submit a Pilot Application Form when applications are open.
Serving TAG members may request a transfer to JTAS during internal recruitment cycles.
Pilot roles are competitive and held to high standards — applicants should be prepared to commit to rigorous training and ongoing proficiency checks.
Yes. TAG members can either join directly as a Reservist, or elect to become a reservist later on if life circumstances change. However, there are specific caveats.
If you're interested in joining as a Reservist:
You may submit a Application Form when applications are open, remember to select "Reservist" in the relevant section.
As a Reservist you may elect to specialize. However, there are specific rules that apply to join operations as a reservist in a specialist role.
You must maintain a high level of competency, that can be tested on an ad hoc basis.
There must be an operational need for the specialization, this is decided on an op by op basis.
Active Duty members get preference and gets the first seat.
See the Specialist Role Deployment Rules on the Specialist Roles page.
This all means that some operations you may function within your specialization, others you may be required to fill a slot of an absent member.
