Braille is a code, not a language.
Machine Translation, AI language tools and specialists are designed to translate between spoken languages, such as English, Spanish, and German. It does not have a feature for converting text into the physical Braille code, a process known as transcription.
A "translation" from text to Braille is a transcription. This process requires specialized software, not a general-purpose language translator. Braille transcription software must be able to convert text into the correct Braille grade (e.g., Grade 1 or Grade 2), including all the specific contractions, spacing, and formatting rules.
Images of Braille are not usable. While some AI tools can use optical character recognition (OCR) to convert printed text from an image, this does not apply to the tactile dots of Braille. A standard camera or scanner cannot read the raised dots on a Braille page
