Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to 6th grade! It is my pleasure to announce that I will be your son/daughter's 6th grade English/Language Arts teacher for the 2024-25 school year. I'm excited about the opportunity to get to know you (both students and families), and I'm looking forward to a happy, productive, successful, and busy school year. 

During this course, students will learn, develop, and reinforce skills that will assist them in thinking critically, reading and interpreting a variety of texts, analyzing information, communicating effectively through writing and oral presentations, become better organized, and self-assess or reflect upon their own learning. 

I believe it is important to keep parents and families up to date with all that is happening in the classroom. Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement. I hope you will make it a priority this year to participate in as many school-sponsored events as possible.
