Venue

Center Music in the Brain (MIB) will be the main host of SysMus21. As a Center of Excellence supported by The Danish National Research Foundation, MIB brings together international researchers from various disciplines, such as musicology, psychology, and neuroscience. MIB is led by Prof. Peter Vuust and cooperates with the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus/Aalborg, the Center of Functionally Integrative Neuroscience, and Aarhus University Hospital and is a prime breeding ground for systematic musicology in practice.

Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) provides an ideal venue for the conference as a generous in-kind contribution to SysMus. Located in the beautiful Vennelyst Park at Aarhus University and less than 400 m away from MIB, the AIAS venue encompasses an auditorium (capacity up to 170 people) for oral presentations and a spacious hall and lounge for poster sessions, meals and coffee breaks.
