Chapter 1: Biodiversity and Threats to It
An intro to how natural biodiversity works and terminology related to it, and how humans threaten biodiversity.
Chapter 2: Food Chains and Webs, Limits on Energy Transfer
How energy is transferred between organisms, producers, consumers, and decomposers. Demonstrated via diagrams like food chains and food webs.
Chapter 3: Nutrient Cycles and Other Important Cycles
How nutrients like carbon, water, and oxygen are cycled through the environment.
Chapter 4: Interactions between Species and Limits on Energy Transfer
How relationships between different species in nature are classified, and natural (and some man-made) factors that limit an ecosystem's growth and give it a ceiling.
Chapter 5: Issues in Ecology
How humans threaten natural biodiversity, issues related to this, and how we can stop/slow down/mitigate the effects of these issues.
