About us

The Somali Youth League Society (SYLS) in Calgary, Alberta is a non-profit organization that aims to promote the social, cultural, and educational well-being of Somali youth in the city. Founded in 2010, the SYLS is committed to creating a supportive community for Somali youth, providing them with opportunities to develop their skills and potential.

Our overall goals are to provide recreational, cultural, and lifelong learning opportunities for youths and their families. We will also want to provide educational advancement opportunities for their parents in order to break the barrier between them.
